Folders

Group reports on your home page — and share a whole area of reporting in one action.

Your home page lists the folders and reports you can reach. Folders can be nested, so a large reporting estate stays navigable instead of becoming one long list.

Creating a Folder

From the folders panel on Home, click Create new folder and give it a name. You become its Admin.

â„šī¸ Viewers Don't Create Folders Creating folders and adding reports to them are builder actions. Users on a Viewer license see the folders shared with them but do not create their own.

Adding Reports

Inside a folder, use the add action to pick a report to place in it. Each folder shows how many items it contains.

Nesting

Folders can contain folders. The panel keeps a breadcrumb of where you are, with a back link to the level above, so you can drill down and return without losing your place.

Sharing a Folder

A folder can be shared with users or user groups, which is the efficient alternative to sharing each report inside it one at a time. Folder members can be promoted to Admin, which lets them manage the folder's contents and share it onward.

💡 Organize by Audience Folders are most useful when they match who should see what — one folder per team or function — because that makes sharing a single decision instead of a recurring chore.

Pinned Reports

Reports you use constantly can be pinned so they sit at the top of your home page regardless of which folder they live in.

â„šī¸ Five Pins You can pin up to 5 reports. To pin another, unpin one first. Pins are per user — yours don't affect anyone else's home page.

Removing Things

  • Remove a report from a folder — takes it out of the grouping; the report itself is untouched.
  • Delete a folder — removes the folder and the access it was granting. The reports that were inside it are not deleted.
âš ī¸ Deleting a Folder Can Remove Access If people reached a report only through a shared folder, deleting that folder takes their access with it. Share the reports directly first if they still need them.
